As Head Roaster, Kieran is involved in every aspect of producing quality commercially roasted coffee. From sourcing and buying the green beans, profile roasting on our 60kg Petroncini traditional roaster and blending to enhance the flavour diversity of each and every origin.
Roasting is a craft and a skill that takes time to learn and perfect. It takes enthusiasm, energy and passion, backed by a strong technical knowledge to create a consistent quality assured product.
Originally a from Ireland, Kieran started out as a craftsman of woodwork, a carpenter by trade. He moved to Sydney, and in 2000 he wanted a new challenge working alongside Tony Colley, la Casa's now retired Head Roaster.
