Getting their hands dirty

We’ve just starting roasting a new limited edition single origin for our Seasonal Organics label. It's an organic Fairtrade from COMSA Marcala Honduras.
We thought you might enjoy a story from Cooperative Coffees about the organic practices the farmers of COMSA Honduras use for fertilisation.
For more than an hour they massage 120kg of fresh cow manure. The manure is then blended with basalt powder, calcium from crushed eggshells and honey, and following a careful ritual… is buried to mature for four-months underground, and is eventually transformed into a powdery, black organic soil.
Now that's what we call getting your hands dirty for the love of coffee!
