COFFEE MACHINE SERVICE TECHNICIAN
The position is full-time, Monday to Friday, and occasional weekend work. The primary responsibility of the Coffee Machine Service Technician is to carry out repairs and installations of coffee machines and grinders, specifically professional/traditional espresso machines and grinders. We do not service fully-automatic dispensers, or domestic machines such as De'Longhi and Breville.
Salary is negotiable depending on prior experience and skill level/qualifications.

Qualifications & experience

  • Experience repairing and maintaining electrical equipment
  • Electrical or mechanical licence preferred (not essential)
  • Mechanically minded person with good attention to detail
  • Great communication skills and a focus on customer service
  • Ability to be flexible and manage work schedule
  • self-motivated ‘can do’ attitude
  • Current drivers license is essential

Tasks & responsibilities

  • Workshop and onsite servicing of commercial coffee machines in Sydney metro, and occasional visits to Central Coast, Newcastle and Southern Highlands.
  • Manage and update servicing schedules using ServiceM8 our field service management system.
  • Coffee machine and grinder problem diagnosis.
  • Coffee machine and grinder repair, maintenance and enhancements.
  • Preparation and quality control testing of pre-sale espresso coffee machines and grinders and on-site installation.
  • General barista training for food service staff on-site and using customer's equipment
  • Maintaining the service/workshop area to ensure a safe and clean work environment
  • Monitoring of spare part inventory and ordering spare parts as required
  • Be punctual, polite, and a team player

Other responsibilities may include:

  • General warehouse duties include serving customers, calibrating coffee machine and grinder, barista duties for visitors, warehousing duties, unloading and putting stock away.
  • When required, make coffee deliveries in a safe and efficient manner using a company vehicle.
