The Winter Warmers with Coffee & 1883 Maison Routin Syrups recipes were so popular, we've added Part 2. Recipes are care of 1883 Maison Routin France

 

TOFFESPRESSO VIENNOIS

Ingredients:
5ml 1883 Caramel syrup
an espresso lungo of la Casa del Caffe, try our French Roast
Whipped cream

Method:
Pour the syrup and run an espresso lungo (double the size of an espresso from a single dose) in an espresso cup. Coat with whipped cream. Garnish with a light sprinkle of chocolate powder or toffee sauce.


TOFFEE MOCCACCINO

Ingredients:
10ml 1883 Caramel syrup
a regular espresso shot, try Seasonal Organics
120ml whole milk (or Almond, Soy, Skim)
Chocolate powder

Method:
Pour the syrup and run an espresso in a large cup. Warm up some milk up to a silky smooth foam with a steam nozzle. Sprinkle with chocolate powder and pour the hot milk. Sprinkle again with chocolate powder.


NOISETTE AU CHOCOLAT

The "noisette" (hazelnut) is a typical French way to drink an espresso, here with a chocolate touch.

Ingredients:
5ml 1883 Chocolate syrup
5ml 1883 Hazelnut syrup
a espresso lungo of la Casa del Caffe, French Roast 
1 tablespoon of milk foam

Method:
Warm up some milk with a steam nozzle. Pour the syrup in an Espresso cup and run an espresso lungo. Top with milk foam. Garnish with chocolate shavings.


CHAÏ MOKA

Ingredients:
5ml 1883 Chaï Tea syrup
2.5ml 1883 Chocolate syrup
a regular espresso shot of la Casa del Caffe, try Honduras Fairtrade Single Origin
120ml milk (whole, skim, almond, soy etc)
An aromatic and spicy twist of the famous chocolate coffee.

Method:
Warm up some milk to an homogeneous foam with a steam nozzle. Pour the syrup and run an espresso in a large cup. Sprinkle with chocolate powder and pour hot milk. Garnish with grated cinnamon, cloves and ginger.


CARAMEL LATTE

This drink can also work with 1883 Chocolate or White Chocolate syrups.

Ingredients:
10ml 1883 Caramel syrup
150ml milk (whole, skim, almond, soy etc)
a regular espresso shot, try la Casa blend

Method:
Pour the 1883 Caramel syrup in a cup. Prepare an espresso and gently stir it with the syrup. Steam milk and pour it on top of the rest of the ingredients. Serve.


CINNAMON SPICED MOCHA

Ingredients:
10ml 1883 Chocolate syrup
5ml 1883 Cinnamon syrup
120ml milk (whole, skim, almond, soy, etc)
a regular espresso shot of la Casa del Caffe, try our Italian blend for a spicy aroma
Whipped cream (to garnish)
Chocolate powder (to garnish)

This drink can also work well with 1883 Caramel or with 1883 White Chocolate syrups.

Method:
Pour the Chocolate and the Cinnamon syrups in a cup. Prepare an expresso and gently stir it with the syrups. Steam milk and pour it on top of the rest of the ingredients. Top it up with whipped cream and sprinkle with Chocolate powder. Serve.


PEACH IRISH COFFEE (contains alcohol)

Ingredients:
5ml 1883 Peach Tea syrup
5ml 1883 Irish Cream syrup
30ml Whisky
a regular espresso shot of la Casa del Caffe
Whipped cream

Method:
Pour the syrups and the Whisky into a glass. Add the espresso without stirring. Top with whipped cream.

Christmas & NY Closing Dates

Last day for order dispatch is 22 December.

We'll be closing over the festive season to take a long-awaited break for 2 weeks. Our final work day for 2021 will be 22 December. We will open the roastery doors again on Monday 10 January 2022.

Please note: any orders placed during this break will not be actioned until our return in the New Year.
